Happy Independence Day. It’s early in the morning and about 53 degrees. Don’s working today and Eric is spending the day with his girlfriend’s family. I’m going to our town’s parade this morning. Chelsey’s riding in it. Then I’m going to have an afternoon of gardening and quilting. That’s the game plan.

I have the leaves made to put on my MIL’s table runner so hopefully by this evening it will be stretched and ready for quilting.

Thanks for all of the comments on the webpage. I’ve said before, working fulltime outside the home and raising two teenagers doesn’t give you a lot of quilt time much less time for friends. There’s groceries, cleaning, laundry, cooking, and on and on. While I’m still figuring out how to add more quilt time I do feel like I have friends…. Thanks.

Have a safe and Happy 4th of July. Have a cup of coffee with me.

Gratitudes:
1. Freedom and those who fought for it.
2. More quilt fabric than I deserve.
3. My Family.

I can't imagine juggling work, teenagers, running a household, and finding time to quilt. It sure is nice to have a holiday now and then - and little blocks of time on the weekends to do some creative sewing. Looking forward to seeing your maple leaves completed.

Leaves are looking good - I keep reading your posts and every time I wonder where Upper Peninsula is - presumably in the north of the US as you generally comment on cooler weather than everyone else that side of the pond - please enlighten me bearing in mind my US geography is very limited
