Just a short note this morning----I’m not going in to work today. Yes, we’re dancing right now, you just can’t see. I have a 3:00 doctor’s appt. Soooo, I didn’t want to be late. (yeah, right).

I tried to make it the night without Nyquil, but at 12:30 am I got up and took it. This cold isn’t letting go, but it’s not slowing me down. I’m off to Green Bay/ Appleton before the doctor’s appointment to shop. Just a routine check up, no worries. I’m going alone. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it.

I got the Buggy barn hearts squared up. Maybe I’ll start sewing them together tonight. No definite plans, when ever I make plans--- they change.

Here is my Front Porch Witch.
She’s at least 13 years old. I made her myself from a wired tomato cage. She has Spanish moss for hair that I picked off of a tree in Louisiana. I’ve tried throwing her away 3 times. Once Eric, then Chelsey, and even once Don all said she can’t be thrown away and pull her out of the trash. So after every Halloween season, we pack her away for next year. I guess she was meant to be with us.

I had 13 kids Sunday in my class. Our lesson was about being a cheerful giver. I guess I’ll leave you with that thought. Whether it’s time, talents, or money --- it doesn’t matter if you do your part in giving--- if your heart, isn’t in the right place….

Quilt some for me today…

Okay so now I want your front porch witch too! I'm so glad your family wouldn't let you trash her as she's wonderful.

Love the hearts. I have one of their books and have several patterns I want to make from it. They're such fun, funky patterns to make.

Good job on the BB hearts. Isn't squaring them up a pain? I am in the middle of squaring up some BB crazies blocks. Yikes!

Isn't it funny about what decorations the family likes and remembers? One year, after TheKid moved out, I didn't set out all the Christmas decorations. He came on Christmas day for dinner and after using the facilities asked me "Where's the Bathroom Santa?" The bathroom Santa? It seems that I always put this old styrofoam Santa of my Grandma's in the bathroom. Every year. He made me go dig it out and put it in it's place. My Bathroom Santa and your Front Porch Witch.

hope you are better!! seems colds are running around your neck of the woods. i love the hip pumpkin witch and her "tatoo"!! your property looks so peaceful with all the white birches and the leaves on the ground. here in the northeast having a view without another house in sight is a real luxury.

I agree, she's WAY too cute to throw away!

Are you going to put some sashing between those hearts or join them edge to edge?

I love your Halloween witch. I understand totally why your family is against throwing her out--she is priceless!

I saw the neatest Santa made with a tomato cage last year---dressed in an old worn quilt. Mop for a beard. I love the Halloween version too.

Are the buggy barn hearts Paper pieced or can you do them on foundation so you dont have to tear off the paper??
