More JJ Stitches...

I want to remember everything-- so here are more pictures from my trip to JJ Stitches in Sun Prairie Wisconsin...
I showed this picture to a friend this photo-- He said, "looks like Halloween..." Yes, But it will look like Chrsitmas next, Spring, Summer, Independence day--A table and chairs in the middle of the shoppe is a WONDERFUL thing...." I don't think he got it.?.?.?

I loved the bed frame....
So many samples to look at--- and I don't remember one from my last trip.... I thin they change them often....
The 'Baby room' was also filled with thirties prints-- They get an A+ in presentation....

I loved the colors....

I took photos of baby quilts because I need reminding quilts don't have to be difficult to be beautiful. and there's just something about a hand made gift.

The greateset shops have candles and potpourri bins.
I don't know if we talked about it but fat quarters filled metal pans. Some asked about pricing.  I don't get to go to quilt shops often. Yes, prices were a little more than on line but I guess I was willing to pay for the experience. And I know if I had trouble picking out fabric for a quilt they would help (great example-- next trip I'm bring my Hop to it blocks for sashing strip fabric).
They had a Christmas room filled with Samples patterns and the neatest red shutters...
There Christmas room had really beautiful fabrics....

Guys, It's not a huge shop, but it feels larger than life.

I have got projects to work on.  We're kind of having a wind storm-- having woods filled with birch trees, I think the boys and I are staying out of them today.  It just feel like the holiday season is coming.  I need to start thinking about projects.....

Oh man, that is THE store I would love to go to---but the very one where I would get into HUGE trouble in the budget dept. It's a good thing I'm in TN and no where close enough to think about going there. :D I LOVE these pictures that you took. I'm so glad they let you use your camera so I could take this virtual trip with you. I know that I will definitely look this store up online...How did you leave without having to call for a U-haul and maxed out credit cards??? :)

You are making me want to go even more now. Isn't it cool how every quilt shop has a personality? I just love their personality.

I had the opportunity to visit JJ Stitches several years ago and it's one of my all time favorite shops. It's full of inspiration, friendliness, happiness, etc.

Thank you for sharing pictures and the walk down memory lane for me.

And, I loved your comment about quilts not having to be difficult to be beautiful. So true!

There is a quilt in the third picture made with star blocks that are on point. The block design intrigues me. Would be easy enough to figure it out. I like the simplicity of the quilt yet the block design adds interest to the overall look.

Thanks for the pictures! I LOVE that orange and black quilt in the first picture and would like to see the whole quilt that is on the right side of the bottom picture. It looks familiar, but I can't quite place it. I'm sure you had a ton of fun there! Thanks for sharing!!

I love that store! I never miss it when I head out to Madison. They pack so much into a small shop! Sun Prairie is a small town, but they are still there making a success of that shop because of their great style and customer service :o) I am so glad you got some fun time instead of just all work!

Thanks for sharing all the pictures from JJ's. Nice job, and it's almost like being there.

I especially loved the quote 'someday there will be enough time.' It's so relevant to my life right now.
