Winter wishes for Summer… maybe that’s what this snap shot should be called. I kept trying to get a photo opt yesterday, but the snow coming down kept clouding the picture.

I completed the last Primitive Garden block Monday Night. Now we’ll move onto Phase two—the sashing strips. Eric is coming home for spring break this weekend for a week or two. So I’m hoping to squeeze some quilting in.

I haven’t been real productive in the evenings. Chelsey and friends have been hanging around the house. I’m not complaining. I’ve enjoyed the conversations and company.
I love extra people at the dinner table.

We’re still ten weeks out before we can think about gardening in the U.P.. Trying to focus on other things – there’s no use in being bitter about it, it’s just life. I guess I’ll have to settle for flowers in my quilts.

Here is a footprint from trudging out in the snow for a picture.

I just love seeing all that snow - it's something that'll never happen in my neck of the woods *s* Go throw a couple of snowballs for me!

I'm like Libby, just adore the snow and we never get it like that here. Throw an extra one for me.

Your applique block is just lovely, I always adore your work.
The snow is something we can only dream of here at the moment, with days and days forecast of around 40c (just over 100f). I'd trade you in a heartbeat right now!
*hugs*

Wow the last block for Primitive Garden. I am sooooo envious. I am working on the same quilt but am really behind. I have one block done LOL! I know you must be tired of snow!! I am a former Lower Pennisula girl myself and have lived in GA for 20 years now and don't miss the months of winter. Can't wait to see your finished quilt!!!!

Congratulations! Phase 2... sashing strips. I am a little afraid of that step. You can let me know how it goes! The rake all done is really cute. We are a little luckier than you with winter. Even though you are only about 2 1/2 hours north of me, we actually had an 80 degree day at the end of March here last year. I am hoping for more of the same, but I have my doubts this year :o(

I've so enjoyed watching the progress of all these blocks - can't wait to see them turning into a quilt - sorry Mel I don't envy you that snow - wish I could send you some of our Spring sunshine - however I don't think it will last - we're forecast the worst storms of the season on Monday so I guess it's batten down the hatches and sit and stitch

Congratulations on your last block finished. Now it will be so exciting to see all the blocks together :) I know exactly how you feel about all the snow- but by June it should be gone right?
