Thanks for the compliments on the new header of my journal. I'd like to take credit for it but it was a design created by my son. He creates magic with the keyboard. I ask-- how did you learn this? -- 'Mom, you just have to love it and spend time playing with it.." He definitely has a gift. Is he going into the right career? -- he's a Pharmacy student...I'm hoping he gets to find the best of both worlds. Thanks again.

A springtime weakness—I had to have it.
I purchased this for the front porch this weekend. One can only hope Spring arrives sooner rather than later….. I just keep telling myself, ‘Every day is a quilting day that you can’t play in the garden…’

Catching up on stitching, I’m up to date on my March block with the Capricorn BOM…
I think my stitches are getting better. Practice is definitely the key.

My Four Seasons quilt blocks kept me entertained over the weekend.
I had it prepped them ahead of time, so I sat and sewed and laughed with Don and the kids and worked on each block.

While it may not look like it—these are definitely stars. I have enough pieces cut for the 22 stars that anchor the corners of the Primitive Garden.
Lisa Bongean uses a different technique for creating the flying geese units. I think it is going to help because these pieces are only one inch in size.

My birth festival continues ---Birthdays last longer than one day in our house. Don built me this ladder to hang quilts.
With Easter coming so early this year, I have really haven’t done much decorating, but I pulled out the Easter bunny for a week or so. He’s handmade and a remnant from a late 1980’s kitchen decoration.
Tea-dyed with a sweet embroidered face… With the addition of Don’s LCD television, I’m trying to find some way of bringing the quilts into the ‘High tech’ world without it looking silly. Don’t get me wrong—I’m enjoy the television with everyone, I’m just having trouble getting use to not having it stashed in a cabinet when we’re not using….

I should not have been at work yesterday – I must have had a virus or something, but I’m feeling tons better today.

Gratitudes
1. Feeling better—I guess you need bad days to appreciate the good.
2. Seeing old friends in town yesterday
3. Safe travel for Eric

It will be good for your son to have a hobby! It can be a high-stress job, and it's nice to have something to turn to.

Your ladder is seriously wonderful.

Happy Easter

Funny - we have a new TV in our lives and the discussion of where it will live continues. Right now, it is like an elephant in the room. Love your ladder and hope you feel a lot better today.

Your son did a great job on your blog design. I love the ladder, what a great idea to display your quilts. I was able to get the January block from Capricorn BOM and March, do you think she will put up Feburary again?

I so hear ya on the TV! We have a flat screen now hanging on the wall in the family room! Our old TV hid in an antique armoire while not in use! Yes quite a decorating adjustment! I put a antique desk under the flat screen, its not quite the same ya know. I keep making adjustments...eventually we will get it right!

Your ladder is lovely that your DH built you! These DH's :O), gotta love em :O)...

We have a flat screen plasma but we hide it in a really BIG armoire! I was lucky I got a huge one right away.

Hey you made Primitive Garden progress! That is more than I can say. I am starting to lose steam on that one. So many other ones coming along and I have been starting to slack.

And I love your new blog header!

I swannee! You and your family are so talented. Love your header and the ladder and bunny. You are so good at arranging things.

Know what you mean about the tv. Hate to take up the landscape with one. At present, ours little old one has been displaced by my frame and machine. Ahem. Result is that we seldom watch it. Maybe that's good? I don't know.

PS. --had an idea. Maybe. For what it's worth, how about treating these big tv screens as windows....complete with draw draperies to cover when not in use? or Roman shades? or a quilt?

Hi Mel, see that you are just slightly cooler today than we are. Big bizzing outside my windows, snow plow banging around and beeping in time. March? yup? Happy spring *VBS*
Love the new header and the great layout. The birthday things are lovely, I'll add my best wishes, slightly belated, as usual.
Love that new porch mat!!! Big hugs for a happy Easter, Finn

At least you have a rabbit to put out for a decoration. I can't figure out why I have nothing! Guess spring colors are not my favorite. I must get busy and have something ready for next year.
I'd like to see the quilt in the basket by the ladder.

The new header is great. I'm hoping to snag a grandchild some day when they aren't in a hurry and have help making some changes on my blog. I don't know much about computers and am afraid to experiment too much!!

Happy Easter. Lois

I like the new look. I think your son will enjoy the high tech stuff better as a stress reliever. My daughter is a Pharmacist. I know he will love that career. But it can be stressful.
The ladder looks good. I saw one in the B&B where we stayed in Hermann, MO.
I have two cushions like the one in the photo.
