Just a quick post and I’m going to get busy with the weekend. Everyone is still sleeping this morning. It’s 39 degrees and foggy heading for a high of 71. No complaints, but we could sure use the rain.
Just what I needed. Remember I told you I began the Primitive Garden Block of the month without seeing the finished quilt. I just loved block one and contemplated it for about 6 weeks and dove in. Lisa Bongean as a completed photo at her quilt shop of the project now. I’m so excited—I have 5 and ½ blocks completed. As soon as my baby quilt is done I’m ready to get back in it.
This is Eric’s last weekend home, so I hope he enjoys himself.

Mel, What I wouldn't give to share the chilly morning for just a day. Although I can't complain as we actually have a much better morning today than we have had for weeks.

I just saw the completed quilt, too -- ooooohhh, am I glad I started it -- I love it. Did you see the Lori Smith BOM that is starting in September? Tell me I can't start another til Primitive Garden is finished! I sure wish I lived closer to her shop -- I'd sign up for all the bom's!

Oh my, what a marvelous BOM. I'd dearly love to do this! But I can't allow myself to start another - I just can't. I'll have to enjoy the process by watching your progress.

I sure hope you get some rain soon. We've been cool - thank goodness - and misty - but no real rain to speak of for some time.

It only seems like yesterday when you were writing about Eric going off to college for the first time, the year does seem to have passed quickly. The Primitive Garden is a really beautiful quilt, I can see why you couldn't resist it and I don't even do applique.

I'm going to "de-lurk" here and tell you I enjoy your blog very much...I've just recently started reading the Elm Creek Quilter novels and just love to see what you are up to!
I'm not a quilter, just enjoy them!
