A quick post and I’m off to work. Man—I want to stay home today, but I got a 19-year-old kid looking at me in the face wanting the same thing, so I’ll set the mark and get to work. Here’s a photo of the flower baskets on my light post.
Usually there are geraniums or regular petunias hanging there, but this year I was charmed by the baby petunias the gardener called, “Million Dollar Belles”. So they came home with me.

Left early from work because I had a meeting with an auditor. But wouldn’t you know it—I left my purse and had to go back. It just wasn’t in the cards. Eric is coaching Chelsey through finals.

Chelsey: “Eric, I don’t wanna learn this.”
Eric: “ You don’t a have choice”
Chelsey: “ But I don’t wanna”
Eric: “ You can do this…”

He has the patience of a saint, she may not appreciate now, but I hope one day she appreciates him.

When I got home, I had treasures in the mailbox. Chelsey always find cool sayings that fit the right moment. “ A friend is someone who sings the words to your song even when you forget them…” That’s what kind of friend I have.

The needles have big eyes to go easy on my own and the picture of roses from her garden—sharing a view because I don’t have them.

Gratitudes:

My two guys at home

The petunias are great. I have a basket of wave petunias this year - because they looked cool! Nice gift from your friend.

I love your hanging baskets. I have one of those plants too in yellow--I've heard them called Millions of Bells. Close enough! LOL! Unfortunately, here in Sacramento, hanging baskets don't do well because it gets too hot and the soil dries too quickly, but I have mine on the patio table with a saucer--as long as I keep it watered and the saucer filled, it will do fine. I'm envious, though!

I don't know if you consider "devil's food", but I make the chocolate cake and frosting right off the hershey's baking cocoa canister!!! I saved it and frosted it Monday b/c mom brought the chocolate pie!!! And I complain that my clothes aren't fitting well!!! Hmmmm...

Your flowers are gorgeous! One of the nice things about having children grow up, then your retiring and leaving home is that you don't have to be a great example every minute of the day any more!

The flowers are spectacular!! I'm a huge petunia fan (even have a dog named Petunia) but I've never seen any of these. And I love the friendship quote - it's been one of my favorites since I first heard it a couple of years ago. I even put it on a quilt postcard I made recently for a good friend from way back who was having very serious health issues.
Your kids are great and will be good friends forever.

What beautiful petunia baskets! I love petunias. They are already so full and healthy looking - by the end of summer I bet they are growing all the way to the ground.
