A Quilt Makes the Difference....

The days are gradually getting longer.  Early sunrises, later sunsets means more walks for Ripley.  I've adapted to walking in 7-degree temps... that's my low as long as there is no wind.  Here's a photo opt before a snow storm is suppose to hit this evening.

A Quilt changes everything....

Introducing --- Gypsy.

I kind of break out in cold sweats thinking about quilting it. I pressed all the seams open with the hopes that it makes for easier machine quilting.

Don't let anyone talk you out of that quilt you want to make....

I love the colors in your quilt. You really do give me inspiration to get my things together and BE BUSY. Many hugs, Marie

this past 10 days of cold temperatures I was finally getting used to be out in it -- and now - 50's and 60's for the 10 day outlook and thunder storms next week - it better not go back to the 20's again after that!

Lovely snow picture, and even lovelier quilt! I agree - don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't - especially in quilting.

Wonderful quilt! I love the brown you added... so rich... it looks so good among the bare trees and snow! Love how you did the corner blocks too.

Your quilt is absolutely amazing!! And to think you were going to chuck the idea away after someone with no vision discouraged you.
I'm guessing it turned out even better than you imagined. It's stunning really...I LOVE IT. So proud of you for digging in and finishing it.

Well done! Now quilt it and take it to church to show it off. You deserve a big pat on the back, too.

This is such a great quilt! I adore the design and the colors! Also, I always enjoy your outdoor photos of quilts draped over trees, etc. Would you allow me to save the plain photo of the woods to use as a backdrop for one of my quilt patterns some day? Don't know if it will work, but sometimes I scan the web in desperation.
Also the gold one you are working on is a beauty. I can't wait to see it with the appliqué!
