Patchwork....

It's the 23rd of March.  Back in January I set myself up with 3 UFO's to complete.  Well, they didn't get complete in January, nor February.  But after this weekend I think I'll be finished with the last one.  Here is the binding.  I was disappointed at first, but thinking about it now-- and the fact that quilting is my
 'part-time- gig' --- I'm OK with it.

I want to list my next  UFO- I have 4 left, but first... I want to start a new project. I want to start a new one and work on  it until completion.

The project above is a quilt for a bed.  It's full of scraps and is intended to keep my bed warm.
I quilted it myself --swirly curls all over.

This weekend I'm knocking out the chores--- snowshoeing my pups and quilting the rest of the weekend away......I was like a little kid when 4:00 got here yesterday--- freedom....Except for church, I 'm not getting in my car the entire weekend..

I love this quilt!

Yes, baby yourself this weekend and enjoy the time to putter. Great advice from someone like me who should do the same. But you inspire me, and I'll try to get sewing. The weather here is great for being inside and sewing.

Gorgeous bed quilt, Mel, and how wonderful it must feel to have a bed-sized quilt almost finished. I am in awe. Your quilting is lovely. It sounds like the perfect weekend, girl, go for it. :)

Nice quilt. I am like you and not going anywhere this weekend. I have two sides to finish on my binding and the Danish quilt is done. My goal is to do some sping cleaning before the weather is so nice that I don't want to stay inside. Happy quilting.

I think you did very well with your curly-q quilting. Would you believe with all the quilts I have made, I don't have a quilt on either bed! I used to make many bed size quilts but not any more. I need something new and exciting in king size. Like a Baltimore Album maybe. That would be the best.

Enjoy your time home sewing to your heart's content. And look forward to the time when you can do that every day.

I know how how you feel! I love your latest ufo. The quilting looks great! I am doing the 2 for 1 approach. Finish 2 ufos and reward myself with a new project. Cant wait til quilting is my dull time job!

Wow, that sounds like a great kind of weekend. Hope it works out. I usually plan stuff like that, get to the sewing part and take a nap instead "just for a minute" It usually lasts for several hours if not days! LOL Now that you are in the 50-something club .... just sayin'

Melanie, it is beautiful! I like how you've quilted it, too, and that binding looks perfect.

Have a lovely weekend, and good luck with the UFOs. We are all having those same urges. I need to finish up something and I want to start something! A little of each sounds good!
