Sunflowers....

The one good thing about airplanes is that it gives you captive time for stitching. I had a dental floss case for cutting thread-- No scissors aloud.  I guess with my lifestyle I have taught myself that if you have a spare few minutes -- stitch.  I brought this to the hospital when My Dad was having heart tests.  The waiting room was filled with people. I started to stitch--- but realized quickly  People needed to talk.  Everyone had a story-- they were nervous--scared for love ones behind the double doors... So I put it away and became a listener. ... and the coffee pourer-- of Community Brand Coffee....

It's wool applique.  This is a 'hurried up' sunrise picture. But I completed the borders last night.  the flying geese pieces are supposed to be paperpieced-- but I was tired-- I  would have had to think too hard so I made them the old fashioned way....  I think quilting lines are really going to bring this basket to life---

It's going to get up to 90 today 0 chance of rain---  It's Summer -- It's supposed to be hot, right??!?

Such a cute quilt and sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers because I think there's just a happy flower.

Those look like teeny tiny flying geese!

I love the look of the sunflowers with the morning sun through them. It's mighty pretty already. And yes, people do need to talk. I've spent so much time in hospital and doctors' office waiting rooms. I usually take crochet because I can do pick it up easily and yet still put it down to listen.
