Sewing Machine Cover

Made from Orphan Blocks.... Here my new sewing machine cover.  Chelsey laughed at me---
"Why do you need to cover it---Mom you are always using it????"

I like it and it gave a chance to practice swirls in machine quilting.

I worked a regular day--- thank goodness.  I came home and took the pups on a long run even thow it was lightly snowing.  They are predicting heavy snow for Wednesday so we have to double up while we can.  You put on  a hat and head outside.... it just brushes off anyway.

I have the another piece stretched on the quilt frame, and the leaves cut out to go on the vines of My Garden Quilt...This time of year I get in more good quilting.....

Gratitudes:
The oldies station on the radio-- brings back memories
Seed catalogs in the mail
The Apple Scented Candle on the counter.

I came across you blog and was excited to see you were from the UP. I lived in McMillan for 4 years on Big Lake Manistique. My oldest son went to Northern and never came home. He now lives in Marquette. Hugs, from a Upper at Heart.

do you leave a hole for your machine handle so you can carry it?? I like the cover.

Yes, if i close my eyes and listen to oldies, I'm 16 again and only worried about zits and geometry and biology!

You've done a beautiful job, and they don't look like orphans at all.

I don't remember how long I have wanted to make a cover for my sewing machine. I have never done it. Using orphan blocks was a good & thrifty idea.

CUTE! You just gave me an awesome idea! I'm working on this French Farmhouse quilt and have some leftover 10" blocks. Hopefully, there are enough left! :)

I sure would have needed one... To protect from all the dust that have gathered on top... phewww... but all the dust is brushed away... so let's hope some sewing will begin here soon...:0)
